Rajasthan Royals vs. Chennai Super Kings: This was really an interesting match. The reason being was both teams are very strong and in this IPL series, both are in good position. Today on 4th May, 2011 the match was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, India. Rajasthan Royals won the toss & elected to bat first. The performance of the both teams was superb and overall an interesting match between two teams. Rajasthan Royals gave good start with Rahul Dravid but the luck was with Chennai Super Kings and they won the match by 8 wickets. The match was important for the CSK in the way as it was played in their hometown.
Rajasthan Royals Inning: As per their previous match, it was expected that this time they will also do better and will win this match, but this time it was CSK and they could not take them lightly. The beginning of the match was superb and Shane Watson and Rahul Dravid gave a good start to the match. Till the 10th over, the score of the team was 86 with no loss. It was definitely a good game. Both players were playing with great strategies. The aim was to give the good target to the opponent team. But unfortunately, CSK was able to break this partnership and shattered their dreams. It was 10.1 over and Shane Watson was facing the ball. But what he did, he gave the catch to the bowler directly. This was really good ball by S. Jakati. This gave life back to the audience of Chennai. On the other side, Rahul Dravid was completed his fifty in the same over in just 37 balls. Till that time, the run rate was going well but with this loss, it also affects their game. Not only this, even the remaining players did not well and went back to the green room one by one except Ross Taylor. He had scored 20 runs in 14 balls. So in the way, the team ended its inning by making 147 runs with the losss of 6 wickets in 20 over.
Chennai Super Kings Inning: CSK must had to play with their maximum efforts as this was not the issue of just winning. It was the matter of winning the game in their home town also. SO they had to prepare like that and they just did like that. The opening players Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina did that and chase the score in 18.2 over. Both were score 79 and 61 runs respectively. Although Rajasthan Royals got two successes in the match, they knocked Murali Vijay just at the score of 5 and Suresh Raina at the score of 61 in just 51 balls. Great performance no doubt!
