Delhi Daredevils vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore: Today on Tuesday 26th April, 2011 another interesting match was played between two good teams. The match was played at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi between Delhi Daredevils vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Royal Challengers won the toss and decided to field first. I think according to pitch it was a good decision and Royal Challengers got success at some extent.
Delhi Daredevils inning: DD team which was not get much success till it’s all matches were batting first. But as per its previous performances, the openers did not do well. Even the world cup cricket champ opener and captain of the team were not doing well. He was knocked at the score of 25. Although he made the score in 18 balls but this was not the right time for him to go back. His presence on the field was required as the other opener of the team David Warner was just knocked at the score of 7 by Zaheer Khan. He made this score in 11 balls and the entire team score was 33 with the loss of one wicket. It was the fourth over of the match and definitely was not the good news for the Delhi Daredevils. Well after his loss, James Hopes came and like his name everyone has many hopes from him but the bad news was that Virendra Sehwag was knocked at the score of 25. I felt it was totally his mistake. He has no need to take any kind of risk at this stage but he took and the result was as much expected. He was knocked at the score of 43 in just 6.2 over. This was really bad news but what to do. Thereafter Matthew Wade came into the field but he was also not done much and went back just by making 8 scores in 9 balls. This was the third wicket of the team and the total score of the team was 68 with the loss of 3 wickets in 9.4 overs. Venugopal Rao was done well but unfortunately he was also knocked at the score of 24 in 15.1 over. This was the fourth wicket of the team and the total score was 115 with the loss of four wickets. Till now it was only James Hopes who was playing well and the entire team was dependent on him. After the fourth wicket, Naman Ojha came to the field and gave a good start with a six. Naman Ojha and James Hopes were trying to maintain a good balance but still at the end of 17 overs, they were at the score of 131 with the loss of four wickets. The RCB were seeking for the wicket of James Hopes and finally they got succeeded and Abhimanyu Mithun knocked him at the score of 54. This was the fifth wicket of the team and DD were at the score of 142 with this loss in 18.2 over. Thereafter in 19.1 over, Naman Ojha was knocked. He made 16 runs in 11 balls. This was the sixth wicket of the team. The inning was summed up with the score of 160. Irfan Pathan and Yogesh Nagar were ended their inning. Although the start was not good but with James Hopes, they were able to score 160 runs in 20 overs.
Till the time I was written this article, DD has played their innings and scored 160 runs with the loss of six wickets in 2o overs. The bowlers of RCB have done their work and now it’s time for the batting line to do something for their time. I just hope that like bowlers, they will also play well and chase the given score. Rest is god knows what will happen. All the best to both teams!Share
