Significance of Christmas: All over the world, the significance of the Christmas is well known to the people. The day of the birth of the Christ is celebrated as Christmas into this world, though it is true, but the truth of spiritual life is also deeply significant and is symbolized. Representative of the Divinity in the form of a human is Jesus Christ. When superstition, ignorance, hatred, greed and hypocrisy were at the heights of its own upon the land, Jesus was born at that time. When morality was neglected and purity was forgotten. He was born midst of such conditions and in the lives of people a transformation was worked by him. A spiritual and new turn was given by him to the lives of the people. A total change came to the land. A new way of life was started by the people, for the world a new era dawned.

Significance Of Christmas

Jesus Christ birth: In the period of lust, greed, anger, pride, deluded attachment and jealousy, there was a not thought of God or any of the spiritual life. Within the heart of the seeker the Christ spirit was born, and he entered into a life of purity, devotion and aspiration. When in the heart of the man a divine element begins to express itself be the real Christmas, for the darkness, the light begins to shine. A deep significance is attached to Christmas which is very beautiful and small. It is on the holy day of Christmas the manner and time of the birth of the Jesus. His birth was not in a great palace, was not born to very learned or very wealthy parents. The Lord Jesus was born in a corner of a stable in a manger a simple and lonely place. His parents were very poor and humble, having nothing to boost about, they were having only their spotless holiness and character. This small significance tells that the seeker who is perfectly meek, poor in spirit and humbles the spiritual awakening comes to him only. The renunciation of all worldly desires of wealth and pride of learning then we find holiness and simplicity.

History would be changed: How many of the people living at the time of the birth of Jesus then knew the great significance of the Christmas day, the history will be changed to before Christ and after Christ. And it was not known to any one that millions of people all over the world will commemorate the great event chanting music and sing hymns in joy. Potentialities invested in a child are not usually realized. No one thought that the events transpiring on that Holy Night make the people spiritual. The Merry Christmas would be wished by millions of people to one another world over by sending the cards. The purpose of his coming to the earth is twofold: redemption and adoption. The birth was purposeful not an accidental. The Angel said the Virgin Merry that the name of his son is Jesus; he shall save his people from their sins. God loved the world so much his only begotten son has been given for its redemption. This story is called as gospel which is good news. God was known as the terrible judge before the birth of the Christ whose tender love in a marvelous way to save the humanity. He was called as the redeemer as he showed pity on the men but not as a God but as Redeemer of the fallen humanity.
