Christmas: Christmas is celebrated as a secular, cultural festival by many of the non Christians also to commemorate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth on 25 December or 7 January as an annual holiday celebrated by the Christians. Christmas was accepted by Christian writers as the actual date of birth of Jesus for many centuries. Alternative explanations were also proposed by some scholars in the early eighteenth century. Date of Christmas in the ancient times was marked as 25 December was selected to correspond with the winter solstice argued by Isaac Newton.

Story: The story of the Christmas as told by St. Luke comes from the Bible. Because there was no room in the inn, he was laid in the manger wrapped in swaddling clothes. He was the first born son of her. Shepherds were abiding in the field, watching their flock of sheep’s by the night in the same country. The angel of the God came to them, told about the glory of the Christ. They were afraid of him. But the angel said to them not to be afraid of, he had brought to them a good thing of great joy for all the people. According to Law of Lord: In the law of the Lord it is written that any male child shall be called holy to the Lord who opened the womb. Two young pigeons and a pair of turtledoves should be offered as a sacrifice as per law of Lord. There was man named Simeon in Jerusalem, he was waiting for the consolation of the Israel and Holy Ghost upon him told him that death should not come to him till he had seen Lord’s Christ.  The child was brought by the parents into the temple of spirit after the custom of the law. Simeon blessed the child and parents. There was one prophetess called Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, from the tribe of Aser, she was an old lady, living with her husband from the age of seven years of her virginity. She was a widow departed not from the temple; she served the God all the day and night with prayers and fasting.
