Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Kolkata Knight Riders: 43rd match of third season of Indian Premier League was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Both teams had played ten matches in third edition of IPL and had won five matches and lost five matches. It was expected to be a good game between two good sides. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the coin toss and invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first electing to field. Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 160 runs of 20 overs while in return Royal Challengers Bangalore got the winning total in 17.1 over and won the match by 7 wickets. Vinay Kumar was given man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance in the match.
Kolkata Knight Riders innings: Royal Challengers Bangalore had invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first after winning the toss. Skipper Sourav Ganguly started the inning for Kolkata Knight Riders along with West Indies player Chris Gayle. Both players were looking in good form and tried to take complete advantage of the power play overs in early part of the game.
