Jaya want Big B to endorse Madhya Pradesh: Bollywood actress and Member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan want her husband to endorse Madhya Pradesh. She is MP from Samajwadi Party and said that she would love to have Narmada’s tale to be recorded in her husband’s voice by which we can make people aware about the environment and can tell them about the river Narmada. It is rare case when she was seen making such announcement as most of time she don’t do so regarding her husband. Reason for saying such things may be that her birth place is Bhopal which is capital of Madhya Pradesh. She wants to conserve the beauty of state and also its river from being polluted or getting destroyed by various activities. She said that first we interfere with environment through air or water and later we search for water on moon. She said that we are destroying our various natural resources like hills, forests, land and water on the name of development and money which is unfair with the environment and this development should take place without harming the nature.
Jaya’s link and concern about state: Jaya Bachchan is daughter of late Taroon Coomar Bhaduri who was a novelist and journalist. He had worked for leading Kolkata newspaper in Bhopal in late 50s and 60s and Jaya born also in Bhopal. Taroon Coomar Bhaduri’s novel, Abhishapta Chambal, written in Bangla has been translated into various languages and he had served as chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. This post is now vacant from last five decades even when state has three UNESCO sites and state is promoting tourism with triple T’s. These stand for tiger, tribal and tourist destinations. She was speaking at the second International River Festival 2010 held at the confluence of the Narmada River — Bandraban in Hoshangabad district which is about 90 km away from the state’s capital Bhopal. Jaya’s Rajya Sabha tenure is about to end soon and she want to make her first contribution for the state being daughter of state. She shared her memories with the place and her fond for lakes and hills of Bhopal.
Amitabh Bachchan rejected by Kerala: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was rejected by Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) government for Kerala’s brand ambassador. Cultural minister of Madhya Pradesh Laxmikant Sharma said that they are serious about saving the state’s environment and it will be pleasure of their state if Big B join their state while final decision will be in hand of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Amitabh Bachchan has written on his blog regarding Kerala’s rejection that if they want to stop him from promoting tourism in a state due to reasons that they believe that there are political connotation to the even then it is rubbish. He has written that he would have worked in a short movie that shall be highlighting the various tourist places of the state which would encourage more tourist visit to state and he would exactly do the same if he would have asked similar acts in Kerala.Share
