Royal Challengers Bangalore

IPL match on March 25, 2010: Twentieth match of third season of Indian Premier League was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to field first. Delhi Daredevils set a target of 183 runs in 20 overs after losing four wickets in return Royal Challengers Bangalore failed to get the target and scored 166 runs off 20 over losing nine wickets and lost the match by 17 runs. KM Jadhav was given man of the match award for his brilliant inning of unbeaten 50 runs of 29 balls. Twenty first match of IPL was played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai Indians after winning the toss invited the Chennai Super Kings to bat first. Playing first Chennai Super Kings set a target of 181 runs to win which Mumbai Indians got by losing 5 wickets in 19 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Sachin Tendulkar was given man of match award for his brilliant inning of 72 runs. With this victory Mumbai Indians is now on top of IPL ranking.

Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils beats Royal Challengers Bangalore: DA Warner and Virender Sehwag started the inning for Delhi Daredevils, in the absence of regular skipper Gautam Gambhir. They started making quick runs from very first over of the inning and lost Warner on second ball of fourth over when he was at an individual score of 33 runs off 14 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. He was caught by Vinay Kumar on the ball of Steyn. Soon Virender Sehwag also lost his wicket adding 12 runs from his bat for team with two fours in his inning. AB de Villiers and skipper KD Karthik tried to tackle the circumstances and gave a partnership of 43 runs for third wicket. Karthik lost his wicket during running between the wickets on fourth ball of twelfth over when he had contributed 17 runs from his bat. AB de Villiers also lost his wicket during running between the wickets when he was playing at 45 runs off 35 balls with three fours in his inning. KM Jadhav and AB McDonald later played their inning till last over of game and scored unbeaten 50 and 18 runs respectively. After end of 20 overs team was at total of 183 runs after losing four wickets. Steyn and Vinay Kumar took one wicket each. MK Pandey and JH Kallis started the inning for Royal Challengers Bangalore. They gave good start to team making partnership of 71 runs for first wicket. Kallis was sent to pavilion when he was playing at 27 runs off 29 balls and in very next over another opener MK Pandey lost his wicket after scoring 39 runs off 29 balls with 4 fours and 1 sixes in his inning. He was shown way to pavilion by McDonald. Rahul Dravid failed to contribute much for the team and lost his wicket during running between the wickets. RV Uthappa was caught behind the stumps by wicket keeper skipper Karthik on the ball of Amit Mishra when he was playing at 15 runs off 10 balls. EJG Morgan added 17 runs from his bat and rest of batsmen failed to add much for the team except Virat Kohli who scored unbeaten 38 runs off 23 balls with 4 fours and 1 six in his inning. Team failed to reach the required total and at end of 20 over team was at total of 166 runs against 183 runs of opponent team. Mc Donalds and Amit Mishra got two wickets each while Yadav and Pardeep Sangwan managed to get one wicket each.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians beats Chennai Super Kings: Mumbai Indians had elected to field first after winning the coin toss. Regular skipper of Chennai Super Kings M S Dhoni was also back after recovery from injury. Parthiv Patel and Mathew Hayden started the inning for Chennai Super Kings. Team lost first wicket as Mathew Hayden in fourth over when he was playing at 20 runs off 12 balls with four fours in his inning.  He was found leg before the wicket on the ball of Harbhajan Singh. Soon after him Parthiv Patel also lost his wicket when he was at an individual score of 8 runs and team had reached total of 38 runs. Suresh Raina and S Badrinath took the command of team and played extremely well. They were unbeaten till end of 20 over and due to brilliant inning of these two players team managed to score total of 180 runs. Suresh Raina scored unbeaten 83 runs off 52 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes in his inning while Badrinath contributed 55 runs off 45 balls with six fours in his inning. Harbhajan Singh and McLaren took one wicket each. S Dhawan and skipper Sachin Tendulkar started inning for Mumbai Indians. They gave good start to team first wicket falling after partnership of 91 runs. Dhawan was first man to walk back to pavilion after scoring 56 runs off 34 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes in his inning. He was caught by Suresh Raina on the ball of Jakati. SS Tiwary failed to contribute much and was found leg before the wicket on the ball of Muralitharan. Sathish was shown way to pavilion by Joginder Sharma when he has added just 5 runs from his bat. KA Pollard added quick 20 runs off 9 balls with 3 fours and 1 six in his inning before losing wicket on the ball of Muralitharan. Sachin Tendulkar was playing extremely well and he had taken team almost to victory before he lost his wicket. He scored 72 runs off 52 balls with 8 fours in his inning. Team was at total of 172 runs when Tendulkar lost his wicket and later Bravo took team to victory by scoring 14 runs off 7 balls with 1four and 1 six in his inning. Team won the match when 6 bowls were left to ball and team had five wickets in their hand. Muralitharan got two wickets while Balaji, Joginder Sharma and Jakati managed to get one wicket each.
