More chances for international players in IPL: With the addition of two new franchises, Kochi and Pune, in Indian Premier League there will be more chance for international players to join it. There are total 9 countries that plays test cricket in the world while 16 teams have got the one day international status. According to Indian Premier League rules one team can have maximum of 10 players in their squad and they can use maximum of four of them in the playing eleven squad. So there will be 100 international players which can be in ten franchises and players from country like Bangladesh and other international cricket council associated nations will also get chance. In the last season of IPL played in South Africa, much international fame like Australian bowler Glenn McGrath, England batsmen Paul Collingwood and Owais Shah were in Delhi Daredevils squad but did not play in any of 15 games till semi finals where Daredevils lost the match against Deccan Chargers.
Fresh auction of IPL players: Indian Premier League players contract are coming to an end with the current addition so most of those players will be up for grab at a fresh auction which is scheduled to occur in month of September this year. As held in past, all franchises will be given a certain purse to spend at the auction as a result of which players will go under the hammer at a certain minimum price. Amount to be available to each franchise is still not decided but it expected to closer to amount of first edition i.e. about Rs 22.8 crore. Eight franchises which are already established will be given the option to hold some of their current players but some of big names are expected to change their teams. Delhi Daredevils have many big names like Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Tillakaratne Dilshan, AB de Villiers, Daniel Vettori, David Warner and Dirk Nannes so maybe they will not want all of them in squad or will not be able to hold all of them. Pakistani players will also get chance in the fresh auction as last auction due to not selection of any Pakistani player many controversies aroused.
More youngsters to get chance from India: Indian Premier League is good plat form for young talented layers to show their talent and Indian team management can watch the game of the players if they can be part of Indian team squad. Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar is excited about upcoming two new franchises due to which more young talented players from India will also get chance as franchises will hunt for talented players across the country. He said that it does not matter that from which city franchises are as we have seen it is not necessary that player is from same city to play in same team. At least seven Indian players should be there in playing eleven squad of IPL and maximum of four international players. Squad is limited to 23 players so there will be total 46 players who will get chance in the IPL.
