Sachin’s add in trouble: Sachin Tendulkar, our Indian Cricket star, is now days in head-lines for his ad film meant for Mumbaikars specially. The Cricket Star has done an advertisement titled- ‘Paani Waachwa’, where he is sitting and in the background the National Anthem is going on, which really has made a big issue for BMC and an objection is being raised for the ad. The BMC is being told to replace the music before the release of the ad film. Whereas, the intention of the film is very positive, as in this 30 minutes ad Sachin Tendulkar encourages the Mumbai people to save water and they should use buckets to take bath rather than shower, which wastes the water. The ad is in both the languages Marathi as well as Hindi. The Censor Board had instructed the BMC for the required modifications and changes for the further release. The ad was suppose to be released within 10 days whereas, now it has to be re-modified with the background music and would be released shortly. The half an hour ad film was meant for the people to convey the message that they should use water prudently and not to waste it as water is very precious and for Mumbai they have to save it otherwise they would have to face the problem of scarcity of water in their near future. Mr. Vinaya Azad, the regional officer of the censor board told that he himself has not seen the ad film but other censor board committee members told him about the objection raised for the back ground music of National Anthem and when ever the BMC replaces the music it will get the certificate. The ad film was done free of cost by Sachin Tendulkar, while Eureka Films was paid about Rs.15 Lakhs for shooting and other post production charges.
