Veer Movie

Veer Review: Everyone is waiting for Veer for so long time. People were also desperate to know whether the movie breaks the record of 3 Idiots or not. They were looking forward for the movie Veer and hoped that it will work well. Not only audience, but also film industry was waiting for the movie. But it seems all the dreams shattered and the movie did not work that much as it was expected. Few hard facts about the movie were:

1. The story was not so exciting and has not that much spark.

2. It is not easy to pull the periodic film and the same was happened with the movie.

3. The script was not impressive. (It was the introductory script of the actor Salman Khan.)

Script of the movie Veer: People were also excited about the movie as this was the first movie of Salman Khan in which he himself wrote script. It was his first experience and when he was asked about the script. He said he was nervous and excited too. But according to critics, while writing the script, he took the idea from the movies like Titanic, Troy, Conan the Barbarian and even from the movie Kranti. He just simply mixed the concepts from these movies and the result was Veer which was not acceptable by audience. The script of the movie was one of the weak points for the failure of the movie.

Neither story, nor star cast works: The worst part of the movie was neither its story able to impress the audience nor the star cast. Although Salman Khan played the role of Veer, but only his presence in the movie was not enough and had not attracted the audience towards the movie. Even the presence of new girl Zarine did not help. Mithun Chakarborty, Jackie Shroff was also there but unfortunately they also not did anything.

About movie VEER: The movie is about a warrior and at the same time, it’s a love story too. But unfortunately neither it shows any patriotism, nor the love story. The story line of the movie is so fragile that one can get irritated till it reached to its end. The beginning of the movie is ok with great stars, and majestic sets, action scenes, but the moment when it shifts to London, it crashes! In the movie when Salman Khan reached London, he meets the woman of his dreams within minutes and that was not digestible and just in the next scene the same girl studies in the same college in which Salman Khan has enrolled in. Isn’t it looking fake? The second hour of the movie is emphasizing on unfulfilled promises, seething anger and revenge, love and freedom. In short you lose your interest as the movie goes on and on. And last but not least, the climax of the movie is so long than usually while the ending is so weird and funny.

Director Anil Sharma fails: The bitter truth of the movie is the director fails to deliver. Anil Sharma and his writers failed to produce a great story and concept. Music given by Sajid-Wajid is melodious; the background score of the movie is top notch; the cinematography of Gopal Shah for the movie is splendid. No doubt, if Tinu Verma is there then no worries about action scenes and same with this movie. The actions are dynamic and help the movie to run.

Summary: Finally, the overall project was hopeless and film was not as better as expected. No doubt the movie opened well at single screens. All credit goes to Salman Khan. The film also get advantage of healthy extended weekend i.e. 26th January is a holiday, but due to excessive costs and poor merits, VEER have to face a great disappointment and its is being difficult to recover its costs. The movie resides on star power of Salman Khan. But along with it, it is also the fact that the fans will get disappointed by their hardcore star. The resemblance of Zarine Khan with Katrina Kaif does not work but wears one expression all through left negative impact. Among other stars Mithun Chakarborty and Jackie Shroff are doing bit well. Sohail Khan as usual irritates. Son of Raj Kumar Puru and Aryan Vaid get no advantage from the movie. Neena Gupta is as usual impressive and all the English actors included are stereotype. Final word- Highly disappointed!
