Concept cars at Auto Expo Revealed: The 10th Auto-Expo was held in New Delhi from 5th Jan to 11th Jan’2010. The show was organized by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association, The confederation of Indian Industry and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Where 72 vehicles being launched and among these more than 10 global launches of passenger vehicles and two wheelers were available. Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland were recognized for their continuous support to the Auto Expo since 1986. Similarly, Tata Motors and Maruti Udyog Ltd have also been awarded for having the largest display area for the 2010 expo show. The largest country pavilion award for the 2010 expo show was earned by VDA and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce for the German pavilion. The tenth auto show has set several new records. Several no of foreign journalists sign-up for the show. The bollywood stars like; Ajay Devgan, John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi and cricketer – Saurav Ganguli were also the part of the show as the keen visitors. The show had been included approximately1200 Journalists from 12 countries all over the world. The Auto Expo has act as a platform for viewing the progress the auto-component industry has made over the last 2 years. This show has given a wide opportunity to the Indian as well as foreign business visitors to see the various modern and updated products as well as to interact with the officials of the component companies. The big manufacturing companies like; Renault, Mahindra Navistar, Ashok Leyland, Mercedes Benz, General Motors, Tata Motors and Bosch have announced their new product launches in a wide range.
Diesel Vehicle emphasis in show: As we all believe that diesel vehicles are more polluting, less efficient and very noisy, but the diesel planet at the 10th Auto Expo has proved wrong these myths about diesel engines and the use of diesel in vehicles. Manufacturers of diesel vehicles and diesel engines explain and emphasize that the future new edition of vehicles (diesel) will be the cleaner, more reliable and less noisy. And the electric vehicles will be the alternative vehicles which are also less efficient than diesel because batteries used in these vehicles are also producing carbon and other pollutants. The old diesel vehicles displayed in the show were proved as the noisier and polluted by showing the new technology diesel vehicles with less noise and pollution. Tata Motors, Cummins and Bosch are also exhibiting their diesel technologies at the diesel planet. As per these companies a diesel car consumes 30 percent less fuel and releases 25percent less CO2. The diesel vehicle manufacturers are constantly working on the technology to make diesel vehicles smoother, less noisy and less vibrating. With such initiatives hopefully the world can certainly look forward to many more diesel vehicles launching on the roads in the near future.
New launches of the Show: Hyundai has introduced its new exciting variants to address the needs of various segments. The small car segments have been introduced which would take two to three years to launch in the market. Similarly, in the range of luxury sedan cars, BMW, Germany’s car manufacturing company has launches Gran Turismo, X6M and 760Li, Audi has introduced the powerful diesel SUV Q7 4.2 TDI.. Another luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has showcased two new cars- SLS AMG Desert Gold worth Rs.2. Crore. Volkswagen has also introduced its high end luxury car Phaeton costs Rs.75 lakh and its Czech subsidiary Skoda has introduced its much awaited SUV Yeti. And French Car manufacturer Renault is also planning to launch two models, Fluence & Koles in India in 2011 and will be produced at its Indian plant at Chennai.Share
