Australia to get own security: Australian delegation will bring their own country’s Federal Police for the Commonwealth Games which will be held in Delhi, India. Australian Commonwealth Games Association chief Perry Crosswhite told to the media that we should be more careful with the security when we are visiting to India and how we will bring out our athletes. It is for the first time when they are going with us for the games and there will be a couple of people attached to the team whose basic purpose will be to guide the athletes that where they should visit and what kind of clothes they should wear. They are nervous about the security in India so they don’t want to take any chance and will carry their own cops with them. Crosswhite said Australian Commonwealth Games Association is satisfied with the arrangements made in the place. Few government officials met the Federal Police in Canbreea to discuss the security matter during the Commonwealth Games 2010. It is expected that it will be their biggest participation outside their country in the Games. Perry Crosswhite said that at this stage the information which people have is that security is at an acceptable and their working committee is working hard for it and they will be surely taking parts in the games in Delhi.

Controversies regarding their security: The Commonwealth Games 2010 will be starting from October 3 in New Delhi and this has become a topic of various discussion and controversies regarding security. Australian wants to carry their own security to India for the games period as they know these games are hosted by India and Indians are not treated well in their country so they might not be safe here as well. Indian government should not allow Australian to bring their security as this game is hosted by India so it will be responsibility of Indian government to keep player of all countries safe. India is well known for their culture and respect for their guests across the world so Australian should also understand that they need not worry regarding security in India. If every country would be acting like them and will be sending their own security then it will be not easy to tackle so many people so Australian Commonwealth Games Association should act wisely. There are large numbers of Indians living in Australia and every year large number of students goes from India to study there as well but in last year many incidents occurred against Indian students and other Indians in Australia in different cities. No strict action was taken against the persons who were responsible for these acts and these issues of racial discrimination faced by the Indian people in Australia had taken attention of the people from worldwide. The Federation of Indian Students in Australia had responded for the discrimination with the protests in Melbourne because of the negligence of Australian government regarding the issue. Now Australian are coming to India and may be same treatment they will get here as Indians got in their country with this fear they want to be more secure with their own people with them. This does not make any sense for Australian to carry their security with them here as it is international level of event and they are not only the people who are coming to India. They should have trust in Indian government regarding the security.
