Mark Taylor called to improve: Former test cricket skipper of Australia is called to improve Ricky Ponting’s on field attitude as Ponting has behaved worst and made more offences than pervious captains Steve Waugh and Mark Taylor. In the captainship of Ponting, Australian team has broken 18 codes of conducts which are double of the number of incidents of Mark Taylor’s time between 1992 to 1999. Mark Taylor said that Ponting is totally different personality than him but he need to improve his attitude towards the opposite team and should behave better in the ground. The way Shane Watson appealed was really bad and it was embarrassing. Ponting should work with his mind instead of getting boiled at any kind of circumstances on the ground and should improve his relations with umpires as well as captain of rival team on the ground instead of treating them as enemies. Australian team should try to be more practical to tackle the situations in the ground instead of letting matter rise up. Ponting should show play within spirit of cricket and as a captain should think objectively from the opposition’s point of view as well not just thinking of your own.

He has paid more than $25,000 as fine since the behavioral actions were introduced in 1992. Ponting has been found involved in various nasty activities one of which is racism affair which made a wall between Australia and India two years ago. In the previous year Ricky Ponting was fined with his 30 percent of match fee because of his opposition of umpire’s decision in a one day match in the West Indies. Before that in year 2006 he was found guilty of two dissents cases while in 2005 Ashes series he was fined with 75 percent of match fee for bringing the game into ill repute.  Being a captain one should be more responsible and should try to play a fair game with opposition with good behavior.
