About Christmas: Christmas is big festival of Christian religion which is celebrated across world on 25 December every year. It is celebrated as the birth day of Jeasus Christ who is God of Christian people. This day is also annual holiday for the Christian people in various countries. People around the world celebrate this festive occasion by different ways which shows their cultural and national traditions. In some countries Santa Claus who is known as Father Christmas brings gifts for the kids. The preparation for the festival starts many days before the day and people decorate their house with twinkling lights and other decorative items. Christmas tree is also decorated in some countries and people share gifts. Special dishes are cooked in the kitchen for this festive occasion. Some of eastern national churches which include countries like Russia, Egypt, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and some other celebrate the festival on January 7 every year as according to their Julian traditional calendar December 25 comes on January 7 as noted by the standard Gregorian calendar. In some countries like China, Japan, Turkey, Iran, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, North Korea, Thailand don’t have public holiday as there are a few number of Christian people living in these places.

Golden Oldies to watch this Christmas: On the occasion of Christmas various channel shows various programs which people can watch from their home and there are many live shows which people can enjoy. There are different stage shows where people can go to watch the program but most interesting will be watching the golden oldies as old is gold and there is still charm of old movies and old songs which today’s movies failed to make. May be some people like to watch movies on supernatural power like of ghosts which made in very old times like A Christmas Carol, The Ghost & Mrs Muir, Topper, It’s A Wonderful Life, The Haunting Of Hill House, Miracle on 34th Street, The Innocents, Bell, Book & Candle, Portrait of Jennie, Wizard Of Oz, The Ghost & Mr Chicken, The Picture Of Dorian Gray, The 13 Ghosts, The Monkey’s Paw. These are all time favorite ghost family movies which one can watch this Christmas occasion, some of these are black and white movies but still they have their own place in the movie world. Its a Wonderful Life which is released in year1946 with starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed is one of the best choice and is highly recommended for this festive occasion and other movies like Miracle on 34th Street released in 1947 and Christmas Carol released in 1951 are also highly recommendable movies for the Christmas. Someone would like to enjoy the other movies but the ghost golden oldies will be the best options for the occasion. Someone would also like to watch comedy movie like Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo is really good movie with good jokes and mature moments which no one would like to miss and this movie can also be enjoyed by kids as well as adults. This will be a real kind of celebration movie which is specially made for this occasion. I am dreaming of  White Christmas released in year 1954 starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen is fantastic movie made especially for the holiday to enjoy which children will enjoy to watch as well as adults will also not forget the movie. The Muppet Christmas Carol directed by Brian Henson can be another good choice for children to watch as movie is full of catchy songs, hilarious moments, and characters which kids know and they love to watch.

More oldies to watch this Christmas: There are some more classic movies which one would not like to miss this Christmas like How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Scrooge, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer. Hollywood movie Remember the Night is not among the best for Christmas occasion but can be seen on any holiday occasion. If someone wants to see old animated movies then best choices are Frosty the Snowman directed by Jules Bass & Arthur Rankin Jr. which is released in year 1969 or one can prefer to watch Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town directed by same directors and released in 1970. These animation movies can also fill joy in the family this Christmas. If you are not interested to watch the movies then there are large numbers of old songs for Christmas which one would surely like to listen to enjoy the festival. Rest of the options will be watching the live shows and various programs organized by communities. This is winter time so one can do some of fun winter activities like skiing, skating, snowboarding and sledding if they get snow their region. One can travel to their relatives and other friends to enjoy together. There are various television shows which are shown on the TV on the festive occasion which people can enjoy sitting at their home with the family without spending any money. Other ways to celebrate this festive eve may be to go to watch some play or drama or some kind of exhibitions with your family to have a good time.
