Impact of bid on economy: United States of America is in race of bidding for hosting the FIFA world cup either in year 2018 or 2022 and this can lead them a big positive impact on their economy. There are total ten counties bidding for hosting the world cup in these years. USA bidding committee told that if they will get this bid then it would provide economic impact of about US $5 billion and can create 65,000 to 100,000 jobs during the period of preparation and operation of the world cup. Sunil Gulati, U.S. football president was discussing about the progress of their campaign as final results for the bidding will be coming from FIFA executive officers in December 2010. The US biffing committee includes different powerful politicians and business man like former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In meeting of the committee they discussed various important topics for bidding campaign. The committee said that it will be good economic impact for the country who will win the bid. In past USA had hosted the FIFA world cup in year 1994 and they had set many financial and attendance records in that year. American president Barack Obama also supported their committee for the bid and wrote a letter to the FIFA president Sepp Blatter in April 2009 and he also met him for the purpose in July 2009. No doubt America is strong contender for the bid as they have prepared good infrastructure to host the matches and also they can accommodate more spectators in their stadiums. They had made a list of about 70 stadia in 50 communities initially in April as venues for hosting which was later reduced to 45 stadia in 37 communities as 58 stadia had shown interest for the tournament. Further this list was shortened further to 32 stadium and 27 cities. So USA bidding committee has to consider all these 27 cities and 32 stadia as possible venue for the tournament for hosting the world cup and there is need to short out 18 cities list from these which is to be handed to FIFA governing committee in May 2010.

FIFA asked only the potential bidders to bid in world cup hosting bid as it is global competition of football and the country who will win the bid should assure first for the fair play in their nation with good environment. The country which will host the competition will be center for the people from worldwide and hosting country should be able to provide all possible facilities. The final decision will be made by the FIFA committee on December 2, 2010 and all contenders are trying to do their best to win the bid. Last FIFA world cup was held in year 2006 in Germany while next world cup will be hosted by South Africa between 11 June and 11 July 2010. The bid for 2014 FIFA World Cup had gone in favor of Brazil so they will be hosting tournament in year 2014. FIFA committee has made a rotation policy after world cup of 2006 for hosts in future. According to the rotation policy six world confederations would rotate to provide the bids. This policy was used only for selection of 2010 and 2014 world hosts. Further in October 2007 this policy was revised that confederations who hosted only last two world cup will not be eligible to bid in next world cup. According to this new policy North America, Asia, Europe, or Oceania, as Africa and South America are not eligible for 2018 bid and for 2022 bid no CONMEBOL member can bid and applicant who will be hosting the world cup 2018 will not be hosting 2022 world cup.
