India beat Sri Lanka by 3 runs:  It was really a miracle for Indian team to be won by just 3 runs only. Actually both of the teams have shown mind-blowing performances and efforts. India gave a very tough target to Sri Lankan team, whereas Srilanka soldiers played really well and could reach the target even but we can say- due to their bad luck they had just lost the victory by just 3 runs which could be achieved by them. The great energy level could be seen in the Indian performers, as they had decided to win the match at any cost. They started with the batting side and the openers Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag proved to be the best couple of the show. Where Sehwag was declared as the man of the match also. He scored the highest runs as 146 in 102 balls, with excellent 17 fours and 6 sixes. Similarly, Tendulkar played very well and gave 69 runs in 63 balls with 10 brilliant fours and one sixer. Mahender Singh Dhoni made 72 runs in 53 balls, which was also a great score and participated 135.85 run rate.  Suresh Raina participated 17 whereas, Virat Kohli 27 runs to the victory box of India. All the players played so well and made t possible to give such a tough target to the Sri Lankan team which couldn’t be touched by them.
Sri Lanka couldn’t reach the target: No doubts that Sri Lanka team had also shown great level of energy and stunning performance but still couldn’t reach the target just by 3 runs only. They started the match with the fielding where they had played well also. In their second innings or batting turn they started their turn with their two open batsmen – WU Tharanga and Tillakaratne Dilshan, where Tharanga made 67 runs in 60 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes and with the run rate of 111.67. Whereas, Dilshan got very good scores of 160 in 124 balls with strike rate 129.03.A very appreciable performance given by these two batsmen. But Sri Lanka’s first wicket (WU Tharanga) fell after 188 scores and 23.6 overs. Kumar Sangakkara came as the next and made 90 runs in 43 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes with the run rate of 209.3. But he got out at the total scores of 316 and in 36.3 overs. Sanath Jaya Suriya, who played for only 4 balls and made 5 runs and got out at 37.3 overs only. Then came 32 years old player Mahela Jayawardene, who took only 3 runs in 8 balls. But rest of the players couldn’t get good scores to reach the destination and lost the victory by just 3 runs.
