Chiranjeevi goes on fast: The Chief of PrajaTajyam Party (PRP), Chiranjeevi has decided to sit on fast against the Telangana movement. Earlier the chief of Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Mr. K. Chandrashekhar Rao had shown his protest for the creation of Telangana through the hunger strike. But now the actor tried to become the politician through his fasting step. Chiranjeevi started his protest at Tirupati by the press conference for a ‘United Andhra’ and expressed his set of attributes with all those who are protesting against statehood to Telangana. On Wednesday morning, he made his declaration after the consultation with his party MLAs for the concerned matter. It was expected that Chiranjeevi will be making an announcement in favour of united Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, but now it is to be seemed that Praja Tajyam Party would be facing the split. But last week, sixteen PRP MLAs belonged to the coastal Andhra and Rayalseema had shown their interest in support of a United Andhra and quoted their resignations to put the pressure. It is also in rumors that Telangana district leaders belonging to Warangal and Karimnagar have quit the party.
Boycott of Chiranjeevi: The students of Osmania University and Kaktiya University have shown their complete non-cooperation towards a United Andhra Pradesh, party. They have decided that they would boycott the movies featuring an actor as well as the chief of PRP, Chiranjeevi, and his family even if his party talks or take the side of a United Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, Chiranjeevi had fought the Lok-Sabha elections this year with a promise to give separate statehood for the people belong to the Telangana region. Andhra is now split wide open with the pro-Telangana MPs and MLAs from the other two regions i.e. coastal Andhra and Rayalseema. The angry 146 MLAs have quit in protest and among 80 are Congress MLAs among them. But, if their resignations will be accepted by the Andhra Speaker then the Congress government in the state will be the weaker or minority government. The Monday’s Andhra assembly had been adjourned indefinitely which has given a time to Congress for the reconciliation.
The PRP Chief Chiranjeevi: Chiranjeevi the chief of PRP, was born on 22nd August 1955, in Narsapuram West Godavari. He is also called Mega Star and awarded a Padam Bhushan Award, the third best awards presented by Government of India. He is the only Tamil actor who received seven Film fare Best Actor Awards. He entered the politics in August 2008 by launching the Praja Rajyam Party at Tirupati in the presence of a big crowd of every corner of Andhra Pradesh and finally fought elections in 2009. He is now a member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh and representing Tirupati.Share
