Miss world contest historyIndian females are not at back front anywhere and in any work in the world. No doubt Indian females are beauties with brain and showing their glamour across the world whether it is miss world contest or miss earth or miss universe contest they have made their name. Miss world contest which started in 1951 by Eric Morley, has organized till now 59 Miss World contests as it organize it annually and beauties have honor to win this title for five times. The only other country who has won this title for five times is Venezuela. The miss world contest aims at finding “Beauty with a Purpose” and chose the female with overall personality and intelligence across the world. There are also various other criteria for participating in miss world contest like education, height. Language, no criminal record, moral character, age, not has given birth. The female who won this title of miss world spends a year travelling to represent the Miss World Organization and its various causes throughout the world.
Indian beauties at a glance
Indian females are making their name in various fields in the world and Indian females are not behind in beauty contests too and they have proved it at every contest. Reita Faria was first Indian to win miss world title in 1966 and there was not much awareness about the contest in India. As India is now developing and conditions of Indian females are also improving with time. Till now five Indian beauties have won this title Aishwarya Rai in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, Priyanka Chopra in 2000. Indian females have also won Miss Universe contest two times. Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta won title of miss universe in year 1994 and 2000 respectively. Indian females have shown their intelligence not only at national level but also at international level and they have achieved their goals. In the year 2000, three of the Miss India winners won their respective international pageants – Lara Dutta won Miss Universe title and Priyanka Chopra got Miss World title while Diya Mirza won Miss Asia-Pacific title and with these titles India became the second country to win all three titles in same year after Australia who had won all three major titles in year 1972.
Future of Indian beauties
India is in effect of western culture and adapting with them well. Indians have not forgotten their values but they are moving forward leaving drawbacks aside and taking good values. There were not many contests in India for beauty and other such kind of competition but at present there are so many such competitions to find the real talents and real beauty from the country. Indians have bright future in fashion as it is spreading more widely in the nation and we have seen the result in last two decades winning various international titles. Most of models who won the titles at some national or international level have also good career in Indian film industry too as most of Indian miss worlds have made their career in this field.
