According to IIMs disclosure, ‘‘Disclosing, reproducing, publishing, storing, transmitting, or facilitating transmission and storage of the contents of the CAT or any information therein in whole or part thereof in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronically or mechanically for any purpose, shall be in violation of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and/or the Copyright Act, 1957 and/or the Information Technology Act.’’ They also said the coaching classes in various institutes have gone regularly and all the details of the online CAT exam online have been available in detail on their respective websites. The officials of IIMs also said that they are planning to consult a lawyer to discuss about this serious matter and what is the legal step that needs to be taken to stop this illegal distribution of news. After listening this, many coaching centre’s head discussed about this with their lawyers and they come to know that yes they could file a case or punishment to the person who is involved in such kind of matters. They also said they could invite a punishment or penalty if one is found that he or she has disclosed the details of Exam. This is a good step to avoid such kind of crime as there are always some well deserved students left behind because of this leakage.
