Deepika Says No: A cool Deepika Padukone, the heroine of successful big budget movie Om Shanti Om, likes changes in her life as she is convinced to chop her long hair for Mr. Vijay Lalwani’s film- Karthik Calling Karthik. The dimpled actress says that change is good. Same principle she has applied to her boy-friend also, she has decided to leave his boy friend blue eyed Ranbir Kapoor and refused to accept the film with him. Endless number of words described the couple’s emotions and heart-breaks, stating how silently both moved apart. She had refused the big banner film just for a reason that it had a Ranbir Kapoor, it proved that she has decided to start with a fresh approach. It’s quite exciting to watch her in a new look and also see her in a new role after so long time after Om Shanti Om.

Deepika’s Career: Deepika Padukone born on 5th of January 1986 in Denmark but later on family moved to Bangalore, India. She started her career from modeling and with ‘Om Shanti Om’ she entered Hindi Movies world. Over the years she has modeled for the different Indian Brands like Liril, Dabur, Close-up, etc. She has won many awards and titles also. Actually, she stated her filmy career by Kannada Debut film ‘Ashwarya’. Deepika has all it takes to be a top star- the personality, the looks and her remarkable talent too. Besides that Deepika started writing weekly columns for HT City, the lifestyle supplement of Hindustan Times. This time her career is going smoothly and she is very much sincere about her work.

Awards and Nominations: In 2007 she had been awarded with the title’ Star’s Sabsey Favorite Nayi Heroine for OM SHANTI OM. Similarly, she had been given Annual Central European Bollywood Awards for breakthrough role-Female. She had been nominated for the best actress awards in 2008 for Om Shanti Om and in 2009 for Chandni Chawk to China for Asian Film Awards. In 2008 she again had been nominated for Stardust Superstar of Tomorrow- Female-OM SHANTI OM.She won the title of Sony Head N Shoulder Fresh Face Award for again ‘Om Shanti Om’. She came Mumbai for her Filmy Career and bought a house at Bandra near her boy-friend’s House, but now she doesn’t have a time to stay over there.As she is quite busy in her out locations shootings and very rarely she remains at Mumbai. Side by side she is going away from her Boy-Friend- Ranbir Kapoor, the son of famous Star Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. She started dating him from the sets of ‘Bachana Ae Hasino’ but departed in October’2009. Today she has started avoiding him and refusing the movie starring Ranbir Kapoor.
