Bonding after the break: Indian cricket team after long break hit the ground with practice. After near about two month’s gap, the player of Indian cricket team practiced on the ground. They are practicing in the Bangalore. In past week, short shower had been hitting the city of Bangalore along with strong breeze and kept the temperature in mid 20s. But now Indian team has hope that rain will stop away and they extract themselves in their four days camp.
First day of camp: The camp was started on Thursday August 27, 2009 in Bangalore. They were divided into many shades of blue. On the first day of camping the coach of the team Gary Kirsten advised them to be connected with each other and make strong bonding with each other as this is the key requirement to win any match that all players is bonded together and played well together. He said about one fourth players to connect with each other instead of practicing with bats and balls. He also reminded them that they are just one step behind from the tournament. All have also undergone with physical fitness test.
Second day of camp: On the second day of their camp, they hit the ground during their practice. This camp was scheduled to prepare Indian cricket team for the upcoming Tri-series in Sri Lanka and Champions Trophy in South Africa. On the second day, they practiced outdoor with the 15 members. They did stretching exercise, batting, bowling and fielding. During training, they also played football match for some time in Karnataka State Cricket Association ground near to NCA.
Gary Kirsten was happy: Gary Kirsten showed his happiness and said on the first day the presence of team members was about 80 percent and this shows the consistency in team. He revealed that we have a good quality team who played together for India. He also expressed his happiness about the fitness of the team members. He said it is good news for the India that all players are fit and healthy and so hope they will perform better in the upcoming series. Ramji Srinivasan, the newly appointed trainer is assisting the coach of Indian cricket team including fielding coach Robin Singh, mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton, and bowling Coach Venkatesh Prasad.
Final day of the camp: The camp will conclude on Sunday August 30, 2009 and just after the players will go to play for their employers in Sahara-BCCI corporate tournament which will be started on September 1, 2009 at Mohali, Dharamsala and Bangalore respectively. Kirsten has full hope in the cricketers that they will give their best during these tournaments. He believes the cricketers will remain together and played well.
