Bombay building collapse: Mumbai, the city of dreams came into shock at that time when a four-storey building collapsed in South Mumbai on Tuesday August 25, 2009. This incident took place in Khatav Mansion in Lamington area. According to an eye witness this happened near about 1900 hrs. According to him he heard a big sound. It was like some explosion. He said I was worried and went out, there I saw that a building is collapsed and few people are trapped under the building. He said in no minutes, the sky was filled with dust particles. So you can imagine how big explosion that was? Every thing near the building is destroyed with this collapse. Everybody near to that building came there to help them till the police or fire brigade or some kind of help did not reach.

Every one was in shock: Immediately some one report to fire brigade and in the mean time till the fire brigade help came, few people from near the building came and tried to help those innocent trapped people. They all were very much scared and feared. The building was collapsed in a sudden that even it did not give any one a chance time come out or to think that what has happened? There is lot of rush around that area. All the people near the building were get together there. The whole area was in shock and did not understand that how it could happen.

Fire brigade reached there in no time: After getting news of collapse, fire brigade reached the location in no time and there they saw many people are trapped under building and tried to come out from there. They were feared. Some people became unconscious. Few people who were trying to come out did not get the way. According to a report, unfortunately, few people were died in the collapse. Fire brigade helped them to come out. Some people were also helping fire brigade members to get out the trapped people from that building. The situation was so critical and can’t be seen by the eyes. The trapped people were so much afraid of this condition that some one even did not get when they were asked to come out. They were in great shock and lost the hope that they will be saved by any helping resource. It is still not clear that exactly how many people were trapped and how has come out. The people who were died in this collapse were not clear. This is not the first time such incident happened in Mumbai. Before this there are many cases in history. Government must have to take some strict action on this to find what the exact problem was.
