SC rejects plea to probe Modi’s role in murder: The Supreme Court rejects the plea to probe Narendra Modi role in murder. On Wednesday July 15, 2009 The Supreme court dismissed the appeal against Narendra Modi, the chief minister of the Gujarat. He was accused by Haren Pandya’s father Vitthalbhai Pandya. Haren Pandya was the former state home minister who was dead in March 26, 2003 in a shoot attack in the Hyderabad near the Law garden. His father blamed Narendra Modi that he was involved in the murder of his son. But the chief justice K G Balakrishnan with some of his associates reject the appeal by saying there should be some solid evidence against Modi. The associates included Justice P Sathasivam and justice B S Chauhan. They showed their sympathy with Haren Pandya’s father for rejecting case but they said there is no base of allegation against Narendra Modi. They said they feel very bad that former minister father came into the court. They said it is very sad that a father has come here in the court. Every father can realize this situation but there must be some solid reason for doing appeal against the case for anybody. The panel said as there is no solid evidence against Modi so they cannot take any action against him. Before this Vitthalbhai appealed in the apex court against the decision of Gujarat High court last year but unfortunately the appeal was rejected in that year too.
Vitthalbhai struggle: Vitthalbhai Pandya continues his struggle since his son died in 2003. Earlier he himself appealed to the court to interrogate the murder of his son. After not getting satisfied result from the court, his lawyer Maganbhia Barot again appealed for the case. Vitthalbhai was not satisfied by the court’s decision. He claimed that central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was not doing their work properly. He said they were not examining the case sincerely and left many important witnesses. He said even they left the wife of slaughtered leader. They contended that Haren Pandya was called by the private citizen Inquiry panel which was headed by retired justice V R Krishna Iyer for the train burning tragedy on 27 Feb, 2002 at Godhra. In his report he told the panel that the controvery is planned by Narendra Modi and his officials. He told the panel that they were responsible for the death of 1,169 lives during that incident. He also blamed senior police officer R.B. Srikumar that he was also with the Narendra Modi. He told them about the report of Haren Pandya to the Modi. He also blamed the government that the government had secured the mobile number details of Haren Pandya.
